Safari!

Today, we head off to Maasai Mara National Park for a 3 day safari. This is supposed to be the best park to safari in Kenya and possibly the world. It is the site of the annual wildebeast migration (think Planet Earth and youtube video of alligator and lion fighting over a wildebeast) So, we will post again in a few days.

As for other updates, yesterday was also the sanitary pads meeting. So, around 60 girls from the community showed up for an information session with the girl volunteers and to get pads for the month. It seems like a good program. Also yesterday we finished the structure for our swingset and put it in the ground. As we set it upright for the first time, we had 10 kids swinging from the chains (without swings now) and climbing the structure, so we think it'll be a hit. We used cement to anchor it in the ground, so once that dries (hopefully when we return) we can make the finishing touches.

Kwa herini (goodbye) for a few days.
